Ingredients
• 2-3 large tomatoes finely chopped
• 1 medium onion finely chopped
• 3-4 garlic buds finely chopped
• 1-2 tsp red pepper powder / 1-2 red dry pepper
• 1/2 tsp garam masala
• 1 / 2 tsp turmeric
• 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
• 6-7 curry leaves
• 1-2 tbsp oil
• salt to taste
Directions
• Heat the oil on a medium flame strictly. Once oil is hot, add mustard seeds and roast it well. After that, add cumin and garlic to it and fry it. Then put curry leaves in it.
• Now add onion and let it cook till it becomes light pink. After the onion is cooked, add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala and let it cook well.
• When the spices are cooked, add chopped tomatoes, mix it well and let it cook until it becomes completely bloated. It will take 10-15 minutes.
• After tomato and onion chutney is ready, take it out in a bowl.
• Serve chutney with idli or dosa.
